A tribute to the original Navitimer from 1952, this Breitling Navitimer is powered by Manufacture Breitling Caliber B03 with split-seconds chronograph – one of the most sophisticated horological complications. Two patents have been filed for this innovatively built Breitling ‘engine’. The pushpiece housed in the 3 o’clock crown serves to stop and restart the split-seconds hand as many times as desired during a timing operation so as to measure intermediate (split) times. A red-tipped additional central hand displays the time in another part of the globe on a 24-hour scale – thus indicating whether it is day or night in the relevant location. Including 2 slim seconds hands, 3 silver chronograph sub-dials for seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours and a date window located between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions. Surrounding the dial is a bi-directional, ratcheted rotating bezel with tachymeter scale along the rim, ensuring smooth and easy handling of the famous circular aviation slide rule. The soft black, textured leather strap is secured with a tang buckle for comfort and convenience.
