The new Breitling Superocean collection offers a diverse range of sizes and vibrant dial colours, paired with three distinct case metals—steel, steel-gold, and bronze. Among them, the 44MM Steel & Black Dial model epitomizes the classic dive watch design. Originally introduced by Breitling in 1957 for professional and military divers, it quickly gained popularity among leisure divers and watch enthusiasts alike. Crafted for durability, it boasts a combination of satin-brushed and polished stainless steel. The robust 44MM round case features a matte black dial adorned with a mix of dot and baton hour indexes, along with three hands coated with Super-LumiNova® for exceptional underwater visibility. A vivid red arrow second hand for diving, a black and white minute tracker surrounding the dial's outer edge, and the iconic Breitling branding at the centre complete the dial's aesthetic. Protection is provided by the cambered, glare-proof sapphire crystal glass cover. The black ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel showcases large numerals, a countdown of the last 15 dive-time minutes, and a luminescent marker at 12 o'clock for clear visibility. The coordinating steel three-link bracelet exudes character and secures with a new-style folding clasp with micro-adjustment, ensuring a comfortable fit even over dive suits. Powering this timepiece is the chronometer-certified self-winding Breitling 17 Calibre, featuring 26 jewels and 28,800 vibrations per hour, with an impressive 38-hour power reserve.
