TAG Heuer is adding a new limited-edition timepiece to its legendary TAG Heuer Monaco collection, the TAG Heuer Monaco Green Dial, marking this year’s Grand Prix de Monaco Historique of which TAG Heuer is the Official Sponsor. The showstopping, bestselling TAG Heuer Monaco has had a few visual tweaks and functional updates in its half-century history, but now it features a technological first – it’s powered by an in-house automatic manufacture movement for the first time ever. Like the Formula 1 motor race and the city it's named after, the Monaco Men's Watch is the world’s first automatic chronograph which became legendary after Steve McQueen sported it in the classic 1970 Hollywood racing film “Le Mans.” It's the ultimate watch for those living life in the fast lane. Starting with its instantly recognisable square, 39MM stainless-steel case; the fine-brushed design features a stunning green sunray dial. The dial gradient colour, from light green in the centre to dark green at the edge, conveys a sensation of speed. The green colour is also reminiscent of the famous covered portion of the Monaco Grand Prix track, preceding the chicane by the port. It’s adorned by rhodium-plated indexes and luminescent hour and minute hands, with a slim central chronograph second hand. This edition retains the styling of the original watch; the crown features the brand’s embossed logo and it’s offset by two block pushers, so you can start, stop and reset the chronograph function without interfering with the watch.
