The TAG Heuer Monaco has had a few visual tweaks and functional updates in its half-century history, but today it features a technological first – it’s now powered by an in-house automatic manufacture movement for the first time ever. Like the Formula 1 motor race and the city it's named after, the Monaco Men's Watch by TAG Heuer is the world’s first automatic chronograph which became legendary after Steve McQueen sported it in the classic 1970 Hollywood racing film “Le Mans.” It's the ultimate watch for those living life in the fast lane. Starting with its instantly recognisable square, 39mm stainless steel case; the fine-brushed and highly polished design features a radiant blue PVD sunray dial, adorned by rhodium-plated indexes and luminescent hour and minute hands, with a red central second hand adding a touch of vibrancy. Updated silver-opaline chronograph counters sit at 3 and 9 o’clock and a new permanent second indicator can be seen above the date at 6 o’clock, keeping time for ¼ second, 30 minutes and 12 hours. This edition retains the styling of the original watch; the crown features the brand’s embossed logo and it’s offset by two block pushers, so you can start, stop and reset the chronograph function without interfering with the watch. The blue dial is complemented by a navy alligator leather strap which is known for its softness and ability to look good over time, and it fastens securely to the wrist with a folding clasp.
