TUDOR have introduced a bold new version of its popular model, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight, in solid 18CT yellow-gold, with an open case back. This is a first for both in a TUDOR divers’ watch. Paying tribute to the brand's first divers' watches with the Black Bay Fifty-Eight, a model whose dimensions evoke that of the epoch, it’s fitted with a TUDOR Manufacture Calibre, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight is designed for slim wrists, for people who like more compact watches and vintage enthusiasts alike. The expertly crafted, round 18CT yellow-gold case is an understated 39MM and it features a domed green dial coupled with gold and white accents found on the hands and hour markers which are painted luminescent for high visibility in dark waters. Adopting the iconic TUDOR snowflake hands and dot indexes, the dial is complemented by a gold second tracker surrounding the outer edge and the TUDOR logo and branding ensures the stamp of quality. The domed sapphire crystal glass protects the dial and is framed by the unidirectional rotatable bezel in 18CT gold, with a 60-minute graduated disc in matt green anodised aluminium, and golden gilded markings and numerals. The matching 18CT screw-down winding crown is inspired by the first generation of TUDOR Black Bays. Complete with a colour co-ordinating dark brown alligator strap, known for its softness and ability to look great over time, it has a gold tang buckle for a secure and comfortable fit when wearing. The automatic Calibre MT5400 is certified as a chronometer by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), it's a self-winding mechanical movement with a bidirectional rotor system and an impressive 70-hour power reserve which enables the wearer to take the watch off on a Friday evening and put it back on again on Monday morning without having to reset it.
