Breitling Navitimer Ref. 806 1959 Re-Edition 41mm Chronograph Watch

Presented at Baselworld 2019, the Breitling Navitimer Ref. 806 1959 Re-Edition celebrates their most iconic timepiece by reissuing one of the most coveted early Navitimer designs from 1959 - hence the name - in a limited edition model of only 1959 pieces. The meticulous attention to detail in this 2019 model has been copied perfectly from the original Navitimer, from the exact dimensions of its 41 mm case, to the all-black dial and the rotating beaded bezel which is made of precisely 94 beads, exactly the number found on the 1959 model. The three-hands and Arabic numeral indexes are set with a Super-LumiNova® coating with an aged finish similar to the paint used on earlier watches. The three tonal sub-dials are 1/4th Second, 30 Minutes and 12 Hours chronograph counters, located at 9, 3 and 6 o'clock respectively. In true Breitling style, the dial features the signature slide rule calculator scale along the outer edges and the winged logo of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) is placed at 12 o'clock. All protected by an ultra-strong, highly-domed hesalite crystal glass cover. The bidirectional, rotating slide rule bezel, non screw-locked crown, two pushers and the snapped in case back complete the handsome case. Set on an aged black leather strap - known for its softness and ability to look good over time - it fastens with a tang buckle, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit when wearing. Powered by the Breitling Manufacture Calibre B09, a hand-wound COSC-certified calibre with an impressive 70 hour power reserve and its only concessions to modernity is the water resistance, which has been increased to 30 metres - ideal for everyday wear. A limited edition timepiece of 1959 pieces in total, each model has been individually numbered and engraved on the case back. Designed as an exact re-issue of the legendary Navitimer Ref. 806, this 2019 version combines both vintage and modern elements under the same roof.
