Presenting the TUDOR Black Bay Burgundy. The Black Bay celebrates 60 years of diving watches with extraordinary heritage. The iconic model inherits the general lines, as well as the domed dial and crystal from the first TUDOR diving watches. It borrows the characteristic angular hands, known as snowflake, from the watches delivered in large quantities to the French National Navy in the 1970s. The design perfectly incorporates every aspect of the rich Black Bay heritage, including snowflake hands and dot indexes. As a faithful reinterpretation of early TUDOR diving watches, the new Black Bay offerings have been designed for both men and women, refining the iconic aesthetics, clean lines and incorporating a vibrant burgundy bezel. Beautifully crafted, the stainless-steel model is complete with a bold 41MM case, a smart black sunray dial and finished with the perfect contrast of golden indexes and hands for an elegant touch - all set with a vintage cream luminescent fill for high visibility in dark climates. It borrows the characteristic angular hands known to collectors as “Snowflake” from models that appeared in the brand’s 1969 catalogue. Finished with the TUDOR branding at 12 o'clock, it's all protected by a flat sapphire crystal glass cover. In addition to the seductive curves, the highly polished burgundy bezel and is new to the Black Bay line, as the precious metals used to date have been exclusively satin brushed for a matt finish. Housed within is the automatic Calibre MT5602-U movement, providing an impressive 70-hour power reserve, it has a five-year brand transferable guarantee and it's waterproof up to 200M (660 ft) which is ideal for everyday wear. The timepiece is presented on a black silicone strap which is strong, durable and coordinates with the watch perfectly. Far from simply being an identical re-release of a classic, the new TUDOR Black Bay Burgundy brings together over sixty years of TUDOR divers' watchmaking abilities, at the same time as being resolutely anchored in the present.
