The new, 2022 Black Bay Pro model is inspired by the first TUDOR instruments used by the pioneering explorers who embarked on the two-year British North Greenland Expedition to study Arctic ice, exactly 70 years ago. Those explorers, of course had TUDOR watches on their wrists. This brand-new timepiece is a tool-watch designed for professional use. Expertly crafted from polished and satin-brushed stainless steel, the sleek-sized 39MM round case is adorned by a domed black dial, set with luminescent mixed, dot and baton indexes. The date, displayed through an aperture positioned at 3 o'clock, is coupled with the local time hand so that when setting the time and passing midnight in retrograde, it instantly jumps to the previous day. The scaled-down and simpler dial is complete with the iconic TUDOR branding and protected with a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal cover. The fixed stainless-steel bezel creates a tough industrial aesthetic. The fabric-like hybrid strap in rubber and black leather is finished with a folding clasp, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit when wearing.
