TUDOR has launched a unique new version of its popular Black Bay Fifty-Eight model in 925 silver – a first for a TUDOR divers' watch, it creates a surprising incandescence. Paying tribute to the brand's first divers' watches with the Black Bay Fifty-Eight, a model whose dimensions evoke that of the epoch, it’s fitted with a TUDOR Manufacture Calibre, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight is designed for slim wrists, for people who like more compact watches and vintage enthusiasts alike. A tribute to TUDOR’s classic mid-century diving watches, the refined dimensions are in keeping with the proportions of the 1950s. The expertly crafted, round 925 sterling silver case is an understated 39MM and it features a domed taupe dial coupled with steel and white accents found on the hands and hour markers which are painted luminescent for high visibility in dark waters. Adopting the iconic TUDOR snowflake hands and dot indexes, the dial is complemented by a white second tracker surrounds the outer edge and the TUDOR logo and branding ensures the stamp of quality. The domed sapphire crystal glass protects the dial and is framed by the unidirectional rotatable bezel in 925 silver, with a 60-minute graduated disc in matt taupe anodised aluminium, and silver gilded markings and numerals. The matching 925 silver screw-down winding crown is inspired by the first generation of TUDOR Black Bays. Complete with a colour co-ordinating taupe fabric strap, known for its softness and ability to look great over time, it has a silver tang buckle for a secure and comfortable fit when wearing. The automatic Calibre MT5400 is certified as a chronometer by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), it's a self-winding mechanical movement with a bidirectional rotor system and an impressive 70-hour power reserve which enables the wearer to take the watch off on a Friday evening and put it back on again on Monday morning without having to reset it.
