Diving into to core of the Pelagos FXD, the case is crafted from polished and satin-brushed titanium and steel, and the 42MM round timepiece is adorned with a navy-blue dial with a high-performance luminescent material on the hour indexes. The characteristic angular hands, known as snowflake, are also luminous to maintain high visibility in dark waters. Finished with the iconic TUDOR branding and protected with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal cover. The bidirectional, rotatable titanium bezel has a blue ceramic disc with a 60-minute retrograde graduation for navigation by successive stages. Underwater navigation entails restarting a countdown at each change of course. The anticlockwise graduation and luminescence of the bezel of this model make it easy to set up and monitor each countdown, by aligning the time set for the section to be covered on the bezel with the minute hand. When the minute hand arrives opposite the triangle, the team changes course, and the diver in charge of timing begins the next countdown. The matching blue fabric strap has a self-gripping fastening system and a central grey thread, and it's complete with a folding clasp, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit when wearing. An additional navy-blue rubber strap with woven motif and titanium buckle is included in the box as a complimentary gift so you have a choice of straps. It's powered with a self-winding mechanical Calibre MT5602 movement and has an impressive 70-hour power reserve.
